September 15th is Dot Day. We did a lot to celebrate, but we began by reading Peter H. Reynolds’ book, The Dot. Both the book and the day are about making your mark. We noticed in the book that Vashti, the main character, makes her mark in two ways. For one, she made her mark by making her artwork. She also made her mark by helping others see that they are able to be artists too. We will make our mark, just like Vashti.
El 15 de septiembre es el día del punto. Hicimos mucho para celebrar, pero comenzamos leyendo el libro de Peter H. Reynolds, The Dot. Tanto el libro como el día son acerca de hacer su marca. Hemos notado en el libro que Vashti, el personaje principal, hace su marca de dos maneras. Por un lado, ella hizo su marca al hacer su obra de arte. Ella también hizo su marca al ayudar a otros a ver que son capaces de ser artistas también. Haremos nuestra marca, al igual que Vashti.
