Frequently only a few students feel brave enough or ready to share their writing, but when they do we all learn a lot from them!

We get pretty serious about finding books we want to check out from the library!
Each morning we set a goal for the day and we check in on it throughout the day. Some mornings, students can share their goals with each other and we add new ones to our list as they create them!
It’s tough to get pictures during our weekly visit to the library because it’s such a busy time. It’s a highlight of our week as often students have lots of ideas about the books they want to check out.
Another fairy tale we read was Beauty and the Beast. We had some great conversations about who was good and who was evil in that story as well as who actually had power.
