Multiplication Challenge

We stretched ourselves and tried some 2 digit by 1 digit multiplication. Some students felt confident with paper strategies (like breaking apart 23 to multiply it by 4 by multiplying 20 X 4 and 3 X 4 and adding the answers, or by using repeated addition) and others wanted blocks to help them keep track of the multiplication they were doing. No matter what strategy was used, everyone was doing some serious multiplication.
