If you’re looking for some ways for your student to keep exploring this summer, National Geographic’s website has some fun possibilities.
Explore the Shoreline with an Underwater Viewer: this shows you how to use basic household items (and I mean that!) to create a tool to explore things under shallow water.
Explore the Ground with a Magnifier: similar to the above activity, but with the goal of looking at things on dry land more closely.
Explore the Soil with a Super Scooper: my personal favorite, as soil was something we studied in science this year. Doing it virtually isn’t nearly as fun as scooping it up and exploring it!
