Last week our school hosted Family Writing Night for students in grades Head Start up to 3rd and their families. It was a wonderful event. We talked about ways to do writing together at home and then did some together in the cafeteria! The cafeteria was completely full of kids and families. Only two students from our class attended, but they were both lucky. One won a prize – a basket full of writing materials! The other’s little sister won a basket. What an evening!
La semana pasada nuestra escuela organizó Noche de Escritura Familiar para los estudiantes en los grados Head Start hasta el 3er y sus familias. Fue un acontecimiento maravilloso. Hablamos de maneras de escribir juntos en casa y luego hicimos algunos juntos en la cafetería! La cafetería estaba completamente llena de niños y familias. Sólo dos estudiantes de nuestra clase asistieron, pero ambos tuvieron suerte. Uno ganó un premio – una canasta llena de materiales de escritura! La hermana menor del otro ganó una canasta. ¡Qué tarde!
