On the first day we sorted emojis. With partners, students looked at nine emojis and decided how to group them. Some students made two or three groups and some made four or five. Some grouped the emojis by the emotions they showed and some grouped by how the emojis looked. They did a lot of critical and creative thinking to create their groups.
